On 27th January 2021 the Supreme Court of Gibraltar appointed Frederick White of Grant Thornton Ltd as Administrator of Prometheus Insurance Company Ltd (“the Company”). The Company formerly traded and issued policies of insurance as Tradewise Insurance Company Ltd.
The Administrator will continue with the management of insurance claims arising from policies of insurance issued by Prometheus. Settlement of claims will commence subsequent to the approval of the Administrator’s proposal by creditors.
The available assets of the Company are insufficient to meet insurance claims in full. The Administrator proposes, subject to the approval of creditors, to settle insurance creditor’s claims initially at 65% of the agreed claim.
Insurance creditors may be eligible for protection from their applicable statutory compensation funds for the portion of their claim not paid by the Company. For insurance creditors resident in the United Kingdom this should be the Financial Services Compensation Fund and for insurance creditors resident in the Republic of Ireland the Insurance Compensation Fund of Ireland. The Administrator will be liaising with and assisting the relevant compensation funds of these and other jurisdictions within which the Company issued policies to facilitate the submission of eligible claims.

"Please note that Tradewise Insurance Services Limited no longer handle claims on behalf of Prometheus Insurance Company Limited (in administration) (“Prometheus”).
As of 16th September 2021, all claims will be handled by Quest Consulting (London) Ltd (“Quest”) on behalf of the Administrator of Prometheus."
